The nearest town is Iskele (3 km) where you can get by the bus or on a rented car. There is a big supermarket there, also every Friday you can find there a market of local fruits and vegetables, by the way the food here is inexpensive and so fresh and natural, especially it's worth to note a variety and quality of milk products, various greens and fresh meat ( beef and mutton), so you can cook your own delicious shish kebab (there is a barbecue area on site).

10 minutes drive to Salamis where you will be inspired by Roman ruins including the Theatre with 50 rows of seat, the Gymnasium with its colonnaded Palaestra, the bath, numerous statues, little bits of mosaic.
Spend a great time in Famagusta (20 minutes drive) - main city on the eastern coast with a lot of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, where you can walk around the narrow streets in old town, shop for souvenirs or jewellery, have a cup of Turkish coffee with delicious baklava and a tasty kebab. Famagusta has a very rich history through the several civilizations and a place of great historic attractions including the Walls of the Old City with Othello tower and Sea Gate (climb the stairs of the Wall for a great views), ghost town Varosha, Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque (former St Nicholas Cathedral), the old Royal Palace and numerous churches, St. Barnabas Monastery and Icon Museum.
20 minutes drive to Bafra with its casinos (also there is a casino in Salamis), hotels and marina.
You can also have a trip to the mountains to Kantara Castle or visit Karpaz National Park (wild donkey and sea turtles protection area) with it's famous golden beach and Apostolos Andreas Monastery.
