Summary: Arrived early, but clearly not very welcome and no possibility of early checkin. I had called both contact numbers to discuss checkin time but no reply and no opportunity to leave a message. We found the host sharp and business like. The room is up a lot of stairs and very spartan, no tea or coffee making facilities and plastic cups for water. It was noisy from guests above regularly moving furniture across solid floor at night and early morning. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast (only available after 8:30), so cannot comment on it. The toilet was difficult to flush and the seat was damaged and unsightly. A rather incongruous portable air-con unit spoils the authentic look of the room. The location was great, and the room has a great view of the Tuscan countryside, but wouldn't suit anyone with significant luggage.
