"Scops Nest" is a home away from home, created in our individual style. Nestled in the breathtaking landscape of northern Cyprus. Located by the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by majestic mountains. We have aimed to combine simple rural charm with modern sophistication. Our unique and characterful property is set in 2.5 acres of private land with uninterrupted sea views. Cool off in the beautiful bay which is a short walk away and star gaze at night.
A modern, well-appointed 2-bedroom luxury villa built in 2022. Two spacious bedrooms, both with ensuite. Marble floors throughout. Large kitchen with everything you may need to create delicious meals at home. You can enjoy dining outside on the front verandah with stunning sea views or the rear terrace by the kitchen, which is a great sun trap. Upstairs you'll find the master bedroom, and large sun terrace.
We have provided a dedicated workspace in the living room comprising a large glass-topped desk, monitor (with HDMI connection) keyboard, mouse and black and white printer. There is good unlimited Wi-Fi too, and an Android smart TV with Chromecast, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix apps.
Celing fans are provided in each room and there is a log burner in the living room for those cooler months.
We named the property after the local owl species - the Cyprus Scops-Owl!
As you float in the bay, you'll have a mesmerising view of the interesting rock formations surrounding the headland and the stunning Kyrenia mountain range above. We often see green turtle in the bay as we snorkel, too! You'll love exploring the natural sandstone reefs where you can sit watching the sunset. Conveniently located near the main coastal road, Scop's Nest offers easy access to the unspoilt and wild Karpaz Peninsula and easy access to Kyrenia and other major towns where you can experience the local culture. To sum up, a safe, seaside retreat in a countryside setting with stunning views and a homely charm. Even during winter, you will find the location perfect for long forest walks, and in the evening you can relax in front of the log burner with a good book and a glass of wine.
