Villa Manzara, Bellapais, Nr. Kyrenia is a Luxury privately owned Villa with 3 air-conditioned bedrooms - sleeps 6 (we can add a camp bed or a cot for an additional child). We are in a small secluded and extremely quiet development of only 4 properties, built within an olive grove - we still have 8 olive trees in our garden. We have a large private pool and an extensive patio area with BBQ, as well as a long private garden and drive to the front of the villa.

In mountain foothills, our villa is on the outskirts of Bellapais, near Kyrenia, and so a hire car is recommended (we can book cars and airport transfers for you). It is a 5 minute drive (up a very steep hill) to Bellapais centre, with its beautiful Abbey and lots of restaurants and bars. The villa is a 10 minute walk from Ozankoy, a typical Turkish Cypriot village with several restaurants and a small local mini-market.
There are stunning views from three patios and a balcony - enjoy gazing at the blue Mediterranean or the majestic mountain backdrop. Girne (Kyrenia) town centre is 10 minutes by car, a supermarket and a petrol station are within 7 minutes; small mini-markets, bars, cafes and restaurants within 5 minutes.
Welcome Pack - We supply a comprehensive welcome pack comprising local bread, butter, cheese, crackers, eggs, milk, orange juice, beer and white wine. In season, local fruit is also included. Tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, cooking essentials, dishwasher tablets, soap, washing up liquid, loo rolls, tea towels, kitchen roll, in fact pretty much everything you might need to get settled into the villa, will be found waiting for you - please enjoy with our compliments. An electric Water Dispenser provides you with cold Spring Water and has a hot tap option to take care of all your drinks needs.
Our English property managers, who live nearby, are always available to offer assistance if required.
Our spacious villa is fully cleaned and prepared for your arrival with fresh bed linen, towels, bath sheets and tea towels before every let. (We now provide beach/pool towels as well).
During multi-week lettings, clean towels and clean bed linen are provided at the end of each week. Your property management team will arrange a time to call at the villa.
Access to the villa is any time after 4.30pm. On departure, you should vacate the villa by 10:30am. PLEASE NOTE: These times must be strictly adhered to, in order to allow our property management enough time to prepare the villa for the next guest, to the standard you would expect. Please bear this in mind when planning your flights - you can often book an additional day at the villa at a reduced rate.
Alternatively, arrangements can be made for your luggage to be stored at the offices of our recommended car hire company. Simply retain your car and spend your remaining time exploring more of the island before you and your luggage are transferred to the airport for your return flight. They offer hire cars, pick up and return (or taxi transfer) at Ercan Airport in the North, or discounted transfers from Larnaca & Paphos in the South. They are a respected local company who offer a 24/7 contact. Please ask for more details.
This is our 16th year of letting our lovely house and we are now welcoming some guests for a second or even third visit. Please book early for weeks during school holidays - these go very quickly. Our villa was furnished by one of the island’s leading Interior Designers and offers a comfortable lounge and separate dining area, each with their own balcony, tables & chairs.
Facilities include - Large LCD TV with live UK TV (using an Internet TV box), DVD player, CD/Radio, wide selection of films & discs, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, water chiller and toaster. Ceiling fans are fitted in the lounge, The Master Bedroom has a king-size bed plus en-suite shower/wc and access to a large balcony. Bedroom 2 is twin bedded also with balcony access; Bedroom 3 has twin beds and glorious mountain views.
Villa Manzara has a private 8m x 4m pool, with a large patio, including a Barbeque, sun beds and parasols. The grounds also boast several mature olive trees, and the villa is set well back from the road behind a long driveway.
By car we are 5 minutes away from the picturesque village of Bellapais, famous for the Abbey and the Tree of Idleness, where Gerald Durrell wrote his famous Bitter Lemons book. A wide selection of beaches, both manicured and natural, are within 20 minutes of Villa Manzara. Kyrenia Harbour offers outside dining in a pretty setting looking at boats and bustling nightlife. Day trips are available - go to Tourist Information at the Harbour. Boat trips can be booked direct at one of the many Harbour Boat companies.
There is a Water Park and a Go-Kart track nearby; horse riding sessions and walking tours can be arranged.
